Devereux Colorado’s psychiatric residential treatment program serves boys and girls ages 9 to 17 with significant emotional and behavioral challenges.
They provide long-term, therapeutic and educational support for youth at their licensed psychiatric residential treatment facility in Westminster, Colorado. The individuals who enter into their care have not responded to treatment in lower levels of care, or have been unable to access the care they need.
Devereux Colorado also provides a short-term residential/hospital divert program for children and adolescents. Their Rapid Stabilization Unit stabilizes individuals with acute mental illness and behavioral health challenges. This is an 18-bed unit and is available to youth ages 7 to 19.

Kansas City Girls Academy is a year-round therapeutic boarding school for girls ages 12-17 with emotional and behavioral issues resulting from trauma, abuse, family discord, or adoption. Their therapeutic program is designed to improve behavioral and emotional issues while also improving the girl’s education.
Many of the students have been previously diagnosed with behavioral and psychological disorders such as ADHD, ADD, Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD), Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD), or depression.

Lakemary Center in Paola
Lakemary Center is loacated on 32-acres just south of Kansas City and offers a k-12 accredited school for boys and girls with special needs. All teachers are certified in special needs and the school is low-density which allows for the teachers to focus on individual needs.
Lakemary also has a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility which provides 24/7 therapeutic treatment for children and young adults ages 6-21 with a dual diagnosis of an intellectual/developmental disability (such as Autism) and a psychiatric disorder.
Residents in the Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) program receive individual, family, and group therapy in addition to psychiatric assessment with medication management. The treatment environment is continuously active with around the clock awake supervision as well as nursing. The goal is that residents will continue to be served until the time comes that this level of care is no longer needed and alternative community supports are in place.

Cookson Hills has a staff of 52, as well as volunteers, who work together to raise up healthy individuals who are empowered to positively impact future generations.
Cookson Hills offers a no-cost solution for kids who have experienced homelessness, poor peer relationships, abuse, or neglect. The Christian School is a year-round, K-12 school that provides educational opportunities designed to prepare students who are at-risk for a productive life.
