Alpine Academy in Erda
Alpine Academy has two gender-specific campuses, the Lakeview Campus for boys and the Mountain View campus for girls. Each accepts teens between the ages of 12-18 (7th through 12th grade).
Alpine accepts students who suffer from numerous conditions including but not limited to: attention deficits & social skill deficits (including ADD or ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder ASD Level 1 and Spectrum-like traits), trauma including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, personality disorders, attachment disorder (RAD), technology misuse and identity exploration.
Alpine Academy also offers individual and group sessions in equine-assisted psychotherapy.

Cinnamon Hills in St. George
Cinnamon Hills is a residential intense treatment program for youth ages 12-17, with on-site therapeutic intervention and psychological services provided daily. Students accepted are those with characteristics such as emotional disturbances, specific learning disabilities, and speech or language impairment.
Cinnamon Hills strives to enable students to successfully complete the program so that young boys and girls can return to their lives with improved education, coping skills, a higher level of self-supervision and other life skills they need to succeed in the future.
They offer a Work Study and Vocational training where students have the valuable opportunity to gain actual work experience and to use that to transition to their next steps. Students are able to work and earn money that will be placed in a savings account for the student to receive after they are discharged.

Copper Hills in West Jordan
Copper Hills has residential therapeutic treatment programs for both boys and girls ages 12 through 17 who struggle with severe behavioral health disorders, psychiatric disorders, or substance abuse issues.
They also offer a separate and specific residential treatment program for adolescents ages 12 through 17 who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Students receive standard education, focused therapies, as well as recreation therapy, including equine and canine therapy and art and music therapy. Copper Hills’ goal is that upon discharge. loved ones have the skills to become a positive member of society.

Diamond Ranch Academy in Hurricane
Diamond Ranch Academy is a therapeutic boarding school that accepts troubled adolescents aged 12 through 17 into six treatment programs. Programs are separated by gender and the age so that students are with peers their own age who may be struggling with similar issues.
Diamond Ranch strives to give students an environment that mirrors real life. In addition to therapies that meet adolescent’s individual needs, they offer competitive team sports, events, clubs, social groups, arts, drama, and more.

Eva Carlston Academy in Salt Lake City
Eva Carlston admits adolescent girls between the ages of 12-18 who have suffered from emotional or behavioral difficulties including autism spectrum disorder, bipolar disorder, trauma, low self-esteem, adoption and attachment issues, emotional, physical, and sexual abuse as well as depression and anxiety plus a host of other challenges.
They are different than a typical remotely located therapeutic residential treatment boarding school in that they are located in an urban setting. Students live in a carefully designed “lifestyle therapy approach” that gives them the opportunity to live in one of three homelike settings, where they are all expected to participate as a member of the family and will learn valuable life skills.
Eva Carlson has the medical staff on-site to safely accommodate those with diabetes, special dietary restrictions, and other medical issues.

Falcon Ridge Ranch in Virgin
Falcon Ridge Ranch is located on 18 acres near the entrance to Zion National Park. The ranch is a residential treatment center that provides a safe place for young women ages 12-17 who have past trauma and struggle with mental, emotional, and behavioral issues.
They offer one on one therapeutic support and professional therapeutic services, academic instruction, and equine therapy, as well as teaching practical skills like gardening in the summer and harvesting hay for the horses.

Gateway Academy in Draper
Gateway Academy accepts boys ages 14 – 17 who struggle with anxiety and depression as well as other challenges like impulsivity and attention problems, social and relationship difficulties, unresolved trauma, diminished self-esteem, difficulties at home, excessive computer/electronic use, oppositional attitudes, identity and developmental issues, experimentation with alcohol and drugs, lack of motivation, and academic struggles.
Their Main Campus home is able to accommodate 32-35 youth and is a more structured clinical setting. Gateway House home is approximately a mile away from the Main Campus and with a therapist’s referral, students may move to the step-down services there, learning to be more independent.
Gateway works with many insurance billing agencies and can assist you in determining what coverage you have, plus help you bill your insurance carrier.

Liahona Treatment Center in Hurricane and Virgin
Liahona provides long-term residential therapy programs for troubled boys with three levels of care that include residential, day, and outpatient treatments to help boys between the ages of 12-17 who need to overcome mental health issues.
Students accepted are those struggling with a variety of personal and relationship issues including defiance, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, academics, poor peer choices, substance abuse, and other self-harming behaviors.

Life Quest Girls Academy provides a non-traditional, unique, structured private residential boarding school to teenage girls ages 12-18 years. Life Quest does not have any therapists on staff; however, they offer to help facilitate finding and arranging transportation to therapy for a student who requires it.

Often times teenage girls who have experienced living at a therapeutic boarding school, or who have struggled in the standard education system are academically behind their peers. Life Quest provides the structure these girls require that will help them stay on track and is critical for their continued recovery and success.

Logan River Academy in Logan
Logan River Academy offers three specific programs. They provide separate boys’ and girls’ program for ages 12-18 which are for children who struggle with things like executive functioning deficits, depression, anxiety, academic struggles, trauma, unhealthy social media/digital habits, and autism spectrum disorders.
They provide a co-ed school setting for the boys and girls with additional activities in order to give all students well-supervised interaction and a more typical school experience. Students learn and develop appropriate social skills that will benefit them in their lives when they leave.
Additionally, they have a young adult transition program geared toward all genders who are ages 18-25. These young men or women may have had trouble in the past either in school, socially, or at work. Here they learn the skills necessary to work toward independent living.

New Haven in Saratoga Springs and Spanish Fork
New Haven is a residential treatment center and boarding school with two campuses, both located approximately an hour from Salt Lake City airport. Their programs help girls who struggle with depression, anxiety, traumatic stress, substance abuse, eating disorders, or other challenging emotional issues.
New Haven’s Saratoga Springs campus houses forty-five girls ages 14 to 18 years old while New Haven’s Spanish Fork Campus can accommodate three groups of sixteen girls also ages 14-18 years old.
They are able to provide medical treatment for girls who suffer from health issues including diabetes (including self-harming behavior), seizure disorder, POTS, celiac disease, and more.
In order to help girls build emotional connections and trust, they offer a unique program called “The Animal Experience”.

Stillwater Academy in South Jordan
Stillwater Academy offers long-term residential care, intensive outpatient care, or day-treatment programs for boys, girls, and transgender adolescents ages 12-17.
They treat a variety of conditions including mental health diagnoses, Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD), trauma and abuse, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), adoption, divorce, rejection, low self-esteem, loss, or neglect.
Additionally, they offer help for a wide variety of behavioral and emotional problems including acting out (in various ways), anxiety, depression, lying, manipulating, school failure, sexual promiscuity, suicidal ideations, and theft.

Sunrise RTC in Washington County
Sunrise Residential Treatment Center is located 15 minutes from St. George Regional Airport and less than two hours from McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada. They treat girls ages 13 to 17 in small community groups of peers.
The most common behaviors and/or diagnoses can include but are not limited to depression, hopelessness, anxiety, self-harm, poor school performance, relationship problems, adoption and/or attachment issues, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anger management issues, self-esteem, drug abuse, school failure, trauma and abuse, mood disorders, and impulsive or risky behaviors.
Girls attend a unique off-campus school for a traditional learning environment. Sunrise also offers Equine Therapy to help girls learn valuable skills like teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.

The Heritage Community in Provo
The Heritage Community has two programs, the Spark Academy and the Elevate Academy. They both offer treatment and care for boys and girls in 7th grade and up to 17.5 years old. The Elevate Academy focuses on trauma and those dealing with mental illness, while the Spark Academy focuses on those on the neurodiverse spectrum.
The Spark Academy offers treatment and care for boys and girls with autism, learning disorders or nonverbal learning disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), mood issues, anxiety, depression, impulse control, Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), self-harm, elopement, addictions including sexual and technological, anger and/or defiance, disordered eating, suicidal intent, threats, or attempts.
The Elevate Academy offers treatment and care for boys and girls struggling with depression, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma and adverse childhood experiences, and attachment and adoption issues, learning disabilities, school avoidance or refusal, self-harm, oppositional defiance disorder or mild aggression.

Uinta Academy in Wellsville
Uinta Academy is a residential treatment center for teens ages 12 to 17 years old. Four homes are located in a rural community but in close proximity to each other house of up to sixteen students ages 12-17 years old.
They work with adolescents who struggle with relationships or attachment issues or those who have experienced trauma.
Unita also has a Young Adult home which is a residential treatment program for eight young adults ages 18-21.
